Parish Councillor Vacancy

May 15, 2026 | Featured

Blackawton Parish Council has a vacancy for one Parish Councillor.

We work to support and improve the Parish for everyone.  As a councillor, you can help make a real difference on the issues that matter to our community. Parish Councillors help represent local residents, support community projects, and look after important village responsibilities, including the Cemetery and churchyard.

Could this be you?

You do not need previous experience of being a councillor — just an interest in our community and a willingness to contribute. To stand as a Parish Councillor, you must be aged 18 or over and meet certain eligibility requirements, including being connected to Blackawton through residence, work, property ownership/tenancy, or the electoral register.

Please apply by contacting the Parish Clerk.
