Blackawton Visitor Information

Blackawton is a historic working rural village located in the beautiful South Hams countryside. There is also a very well stocked Community Shop and traditional pub The George Inn. There is a Village hall which can be booked for functions.

The surrounding area contains many places of interest to visitors: fabulous food, Woodlands Leisure Park, and Dartmouth Golf & Country Club to name a few. There are beaches and National Trust and English Heritage properties nearby. Some visitors use the area as a base to travel to Dartmoor – the edge of Dartmoor is only about 30 minutes away….

Getting There

The main way to access Blackawton is by car.

To reach Blackawton by bus the nearest stop is at Woodlands Leisure Park. It is about 25 minutes walk into the village from there:
