Part of the A379 Slapton Line near Torcross has collapsed due to storm damage, which has caused disruption in the area.
The car parks will be partially opened and the footpath reopened for half term if people want to visit.
Devon County Council does not have funds to make what would be a very costly repair the road, so funds would need to be sourced from the Government.

Caroline Voaden has created a petition which
‘urges the government to support coastal communities affected by coastal erosion in Start Bay, including the villages of Torcross, Beesands and Hallsands, in the short and long term.’
The petition will be used in conversations with the Government to represent the level of concern locally.
