    1. Review of New Applications

To comment to SHDC on the following applications:

  • 1181/23/HHO & 1182/23/LBC Clyston Barton Blackawton TQ9 7AB. Householder application & Listed building consent for proposed alterations to include new artist’s studio, replacement veranda and energy efficiency measures including solar panels to garage roof and rear garden, air source heatpump and replacement windows.

  • 1449/23/FUL Land At Sx 830 492 Blackawton. Provision of temporary agricultural worker’s dwelling at Cornish Post Farm.

  1. Consultations
  • Government consultation, new Infrastructure Levy to reform S106 and CIL system of development contributions. Closes 9 June 2023.
  1. Use of S106 Funds for works to Village Hall’s Roof

To decide whether BPC supports the Village Hall using for the bulk of the S106 funds remaining from French Furze (approximate balance £48,000) to help pay for the works to the roof.

  1. Cemetery Safety Testing

To receive a report on testing done by Councillors in May and agree action required.

  1. Churchyard Avenue of Cherry Trees

To consider options for the management of the trees & a community consultation.

  1. 20’s Plenty” Campaign

To review any early feedback from the June Beacon article, to consider whether to spend funds on promotional materials, & to agree next steps.

  1. Registration of The George Inn as an Asset of Community Value

To consider the possibility of BPC submitting an application.

  1. French Furze – Transfer of the ownership of the ‘School Land’

To note the update.

  1. 2022/23 Annual Governance and Accountability Return

    1. 2022/23 Internal Audit Report

To receive and note the report, and to agree any action required.

    1. Certificate of Exemption – AGAR 2022/23 Part 2

To resolve that BPC meets the criteria for 22/23 and wishes to be an exempt authority, not subject to a limited assurance review, for 22/23.
